Junior Horticulture / Exotic Fruit Farm Officer

Job Description: We are developing a modern, experimental and commercially oriented Exotic Fruit Farm near Lahore.

The project will focus on introducing and evaluating high-value and exotic fruit varieties suitable for the climate and soil conditions of Punjab, with the long-term objective of developing a successful commercial orchard.

This is an opportunity for an agriculture professional who wants to learn, experiment and build a modern fruit-farming operation from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and supervising plantation of exotic fruit crops
• Orchard establishment and plant-care management
• Irrigation and drip-irrigation monitoring
• Fertilizer and fertigation management
• Soil and water testing and record keeping
• Plant nutrition and deficiency identification
• Pest and disease monitoring and control
• Pruning, training and orchard management
• Nursery and plant propagation activities
• Monitoring plant growth, flowering and fruit development
• Maintaining farm records and supporting day-to-day technical farm management

Job Specification: Required

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture from an HEC-recognized university
• Preference will be given to Horticulture / Fruit Science graduates
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong interest in fruit production and modern agriculture
• Willingness to work in the field
• Good understanding of basic plant nutrition, irrigation and pest management
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Basic computer/Excel skills
• Ability to supervise farm workers
• Honest, responsible and hardworking

Preferred

• Practical experience with fruit orchards or nurseries
• Knowledge of grafting/budding and plant propagation
• Knowledge of drip irrigation and fertigation
• Knowledge of soil and water testing
• Valid driving licence
• Experience with avocado, dragon fruit, pineapple, passion fruit, macadamia or other exotic crops
