Job Description: To prepare monthly Sales Tax returns and submit to FBR & PRA through their online system
To prepare details against various notices received from Income Tax and sales tax authorities and liaise with the consultant for reply.
To collect required documents and liaise with tax consultant for filing of Directors annual income tax returns and wealth statements.
To arrange marine insurance on delivery of equipment/items to customers site.
To arrange insurance of new assets (both leased & owned) and renewal of insurance policies before expiry, along with payments of insurance premium on due dates and coordinate with insurance companies for settlement of various claims.
To post in ledger receipts from customers and prepare bank reconciliation of different banks on a fortnightly basis.
To reconcile and update account receivable status with customers.
Job Specification:
- Must-have: Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 and applicable tax rules
- Must-have: Strong understanding of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and related regulations
- Must-have: Experience with FBR IRIS Portal (registration, return filing, notices, ATL, etc.)
- Must-have: Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns, Sales Tax Returns, Withholding Tax Statements
- Must-have: Calculation and reconciliation of withholding taxes; handling tax audits, assessments, and correspondence with FBR
- Must-have: Preparation of tax provisions, reconciliations, and compliance reports
- Must-have: Knowledge of corporate tax compliance and statutory reporting
- Must-have: Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Software: Experience using accounting/tax filing software and FBR IRIS Portal
