About the Role:We are looking for a WordPress Developer Intern who can independently handle website development, customization, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization. This is an experienced developer role, not a page-builder-only position. You should be comfortable working with PHP and core WordPress functionality, fixing issues on existing websites, implementing Figma designs, and solving technical problems on your own.
Responsibilities:- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites for different clients and business needs
- Convert Figma designs into pixel-accurate, responsive WordPress websites
- Convert AI-generated or AI-built websites into clean, properly structured WordPress websites
- Customize and extend existing themes, plugins, templates, and functionality
- Build custom features using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Work with Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, and other page builders
- Work with WooCommerce, custom post types, ACF, forms, and other WordPress functionality
- Implement basic API integrations and connect WordPress with third-party services
- Troubleshoot and fix WordPress, plugin, theme, PHP, JavaScript, and compatibility issues
- Make design and functional changes without breaking existing website functionality
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, responsiveness, and security
- Handle migrations, staging environments, backups, and deployments
- Review existing websites and code, and suggest practical solutions
- Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, project managers, and developers
Job Specification:
Requirements:- 3-6 months of hands-on professional WordPress development experience
- Strong practical knowledge of WordPress and PHP
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience creating and customizing WordPress themes, templates, and functionality
- Experience with Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, and other page builders
- Experience with WooCommerce and its customization
- Understanding of hooks, actions, filters, template hierarchy, custom post types, and custom fields
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and API integrations
- Ability to convert Figma designs and AI-generated websites into clean, responsive WordPress sites
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Basic knowledge of performance optimization, caching, and security
- Ability to understand and work with unfamiliar code and existing setups
- Strong attention to detail (spacing, typography, responsiveness, functionality)
- Ability to work independently and find practical solutions
- Good communication skills for both technical and non-technical requirements
Preferred Skills:- Experience with cPanel/Plesk and hosting environments
- Experience with Cloudflare
- Experience with website migrations and hosting-related troubleshooting
- Experience with third-party plugins, integrations, forms, payment gateways, and external services
