Role overviewWe are seeking an experienced Team Lead - Verification to manage and enhance verification operations. The role focuses on supervising background screening, document verification, and identity checks for client hires while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities- Lead a verification team handling background checks, employment and education verifications, criminal record screening, and reference checks.
- Design and maintain verification workflows, checklists, and quality-control processes to meet SLAs and client requirements.
- Assign tasks, monitor team performance, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews to drive accuracy and productivity.
- Ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance in the collection, storage, and sharing of candidate information.
- Coordinate with HR consultants and clients to clarify verification scope, resolve discrepancies, and escalate critical issues.
- Prepare and present verification reports, dashboards, and exception summaries to management and clients.
Job Specification:
Must have- Proven experience supervising verification, background screening, or related operations in an HR services environment (3 years experience indicated).
- Strong knowledge of verification methods: employment, education, identity, criminal and reference checks.
- Familiarity with data privacy principles and local regulatory requirements in Pakistan.
- Excellent team leadership: task assignment, coaching, performance management, and quality assurance.
- Solid analytical skills with experience producing dashboards and exception reports (Excel, Google Sheets or similar).
- Effective verbal and written communication for client interactions and report preparation.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple cases to meet SLAs.
Preferred- Experience with verification software or applicant tracking systems.
- Certification in HR, compliance, or background screening.
