Job Description: We are looking for a technically skilled and solution-oriented IT professional who can automate, develop, launch, and manage technology-based projects for our e-commerce operations.
The selected person will primarily work on pre-sale operations, bulk-processing systems, workflow automation, data management, and internal tools. The objective of this role is to reduce repetitive manual work, improve processing speed and accuracy, and develop scalable solutions for handling large volumes of e-commerce data.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing e-commerce processes and identify opportunities for automation.
- Automate repetitive pre-sale activities, including product research, data collection, listing preparation, image processing, file management, and bulk uploads.
- Build and manage tools for processing large quantities of product data, images, SKUs, variations, prices, and inventory information.
- Develop scripts, applications, integrations, and internal systems according to operational requirements.
- Plan, develop, test, launch, and maintain IT and automation projects.
- Create automated workflows between e-commerce platforms, spreadsheets, databases, APIs, and internal company systems.
- Support bulk listing and bulk data-processing operations for platforms such as eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and other marketplaces.
- Integrate third-party software, APIs, and services where required.
- Monitor launched projects and automation systems to ensure they continue working correctly.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions.
- Improve existing applications, scripts, and workflows according to changing business requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for systems, automation workflows, credentials, configurations, and project updates.
- Coordinate with e-commerce, design, operations, and management teams to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, system security, backup availability, and controlled access.
- Train relevant employees on how to use newly developed tools and automated systems.
Job Specification:
EducationDegree or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Relevant Experience2 to 5 years of hands-on experience as an IT Automation Engineer, backend e-commerce specialist, or in a similar technical role. The person will be responsible for creating reliable automation systems that reduce manual workload, increase processing speed, minimise errors, support bulk operations, and help the company launch and manage e-commerce projects efficiently.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and marketplace workflows.
- Experience with workflow automation, bulk data processing, and system integrations.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
- Experience working with APIs, databases, Excel/Google Sheets, CSV files, and large datasets.
- Ability to develop and launch small applications, automation tools, and internal systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into functional technical solutions.
- Familiarity with web automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright will be an advantage.
- Experience with eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, TikTok Shop, or similar platforms will be preferred.
